Liverpool are in talks over new contracts with Ibrahima Konaté and Jarrell Quansah, who are both in the mix.

The Ufabet reports that Liverpool are planning to extend new contracts with both Konaté and Quansah, the team’s two center-backs, with negotiations already underway, but at different stages.

Konaté signed a five-year deal when he joined from RB Leipzig in 2021, so there are two more years remaining on the 25-year-old centre-back’s current deal and Liverpool have already opened talks with the French centre-back’s representatives – although they are at an early stage and there is no rush on either side.

While Quansah has been in talks over a new contract with Liverpool for some time now, an agreement is expect to be reach in the next few weeks.

The 21-year-old centre-back’s current deal runs until 2027 but was sign before the start of the 2023-24 season, or before he broke into the first-team last season, so the details of the deal do not yet reflect his status in the first-team.

In the 2024-25 season, under the supervision of the new head coach, Slots chose to use Konaté as the main center-back with Virgil van Dijk, starting 6 games in the Premier League and starting both UEFA Champions League games, Promotion ufabet while Quansah has only started one Premier League game and started another in the Carabao Cup.
