Chelsea star Cole Palmer has officially been name the 2024 PFA Young Player of the Year.
Throughout the 2023/24 season, the England international has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Chelsea since joining from Manchester City, making 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists.
The 22-year-old becomes the third Chelsea player to win the prestigious award, after Scott Parker in 2004 and Eden Hazard in 2014.
The former Manchester City youngster beat out the likes of Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United), Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United), Michael Olise (Crystal Palace, now at Bayern Munich), Joao Pedro (Brighton & Hove Albion) and last year’s winner Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
Palmer was also nominate for the PFA Player of the Year award but lost out to Manchester City’s Phil Foden.
At the same event สมัคร ufabet, another Chelsea player was award, with new midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall named in the Championship Team of the Year for his performances with Leicester City, who led the team to promotion as champions.
Palmer is the first Chelsea player to win the award since Eden Hazard, who picked up the prize in the 2013/14 season. The Blues’ only other winner is Scott Parker, who won in the 2003/04 campaign after joining from Charlton Athletic in January.
